The nominal duration to complete qualification is 36-48 months fulltime. If you are completing your qualification on a part time or as a School based student (SAT) then the nominal period of 96 months will apply. As this training is competency based, completion dates can vary from student to student however will not exceed the nominal duration.

The prices above are quoted per unit of competency. Payment plans are available. Additional fees may apply for training and assessment occurring at more than 200km away from Brisbane CBD such as travel and accommodation costs. These will be calculated according to the location and indicated before to enrolment. New England College of Technology will strive to keep these costs at their minimum.

The entry requirement for this course is the completion of year 10, 12 or its equivalent. Students are required to demonstrate sound English language skills through an IELTS Score 5.5 (minimum).

The course duration is 52 weeks including 4 weeks holidays and 10 weeks’ vocational placement (Full time – 20 hours per week)

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is the assessment process for recognizing competencies gained through previous learning, work and life experiences. Students need to apply for RPL before their enrolment.
In order to be granted RPL, students will need to provide evidence that they are already competent in this/these specific unit or units and these evidences must be valid, authentic, current and sufficient.
