NECT to strengthen ties with Vocational Training Vietnam


On July 22nd 2014, New England College of Technology was delighted to welcome a group of high level management delegates from Vietnam led by the General Department of Vocational Training (GDVT), Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) to visit NECT East Brisbane campus.
The group comprising of representatives from Ministries and Vocational Training institutions expected to gather experience of Australia VET sector in training quality management, the link between industry and education providers, and the development strategies of public and private RTOs.
In the meeting, NECT was happy to share with the Vietnamese colleagues about its training programs and also affirmed its interest to attract Vietnamese students to both VET courses and English language programs.
Through learning about NECT and discussions with Mr. Ajit Pal Singh, NECT’s Principal Executive Officer, Mr. Do Minh Hoai, Deputy Director of ODA - funded Vocational Training Projects Management Unit, GDVT was impressed with NECT growth in both international and local markets, especially with Government Funded programs.
 
At the conclusion of the meeting, Mr. Do Nang Khanh, Director of ODA - funded Vocational Training Projects Management Unit, GDVT thanked NECT for its hospitality, the fruitful meeting and insights of Australian Vocational Education and Training system from the viewpoint of a Private RTO.
 
Both the delegation and NECT look forward to further cooperation in the coming time
