Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis - AUR40212 | CRICOS 083237C

This program is appropriate for a tradesman working in the Automotive Industry. It covers the skills and knowledge required to perform advanced troubleshooting and repair operations in an automotive retail, service and repair environment. It includes advanced units for automotive trades people for up-skilling in technologies such as induction systems, engine design and development, and vehicle handling and stability.
Whilst undertaking this course you will develop a higher level of ability in current vehicle technologies and systems. You will learn to diagnose complex system faults, diagnose and repair electronic spark ignition engine management systems, test, charge and replace batteries, repair final drive, repair transmissions, conduct non-destructive testing, and skills to manage a team.

Job roles and titles vary across different automotive sector. Possible job titles relevant to this qualification include: Automotive Lead/Master Technician.  

This is a Nationally Recognized course within the AQF (Australian Qualifications Framework)

Assessment for this qualification includes underpinning knowledge questions, work based projects and third party reports. It is also based on completion of assignments, practical tests and/or examination for each subject.

Participants successfully completing the Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis may undertake further study by enrolling in the Diploma of Automotive Technology.
